A Future thinker

pro environment designer

Circular economy advocate

Ashley Scarborough is a British Designer from London, who is fascinated in applying design thinking to tricky problems for product service systems to support a circular economy and a happy planet. She believes that design has the ability to change the world.

In 2018, Ashley graduated from the Royal College of Art, she studied on the Design Products program. Studying at the Royal College of Art was a turning point in Ashley’s career. Having worked within the retail design industry developing a portfolio of international interior design projects prior to the RCA, she has an understanding of the systems that create our consumption driven society. Ashley is now working on a series of projects that encourage behaviour change in people to be more mindful about their consumption and the natural world around them. Her aim is to build a generation of people who care about the planet and have the skills to make a difference.

Ashley is currently working on a project that empowers children to learn how they can be kind to the environment as individuals by leveraging their curiosity and creativity. The aim is to not only design for children but to allow their parents to be influenced by the project too. If children grew up feeling empowered to play their part in supporting a healthy planet, we would have a world full of happy earth advocates. Wouldn’t that be swell?
