SPATIAL DESIGN

A small selection of restaurants

Beef and Brew

A British steak restaurant serving superbly prepared cheaper cuts of meat, making eating great food affordable.

The restaurant was designed to hint at the slaughter houses and butcheries of British culture while creating an atmosphere where anyone will feel comfortable. A paired back materials palette is bought to life with hand painted murals on the natural plaster walls.

Bird

Restoring a former pub in Islington, London into a vibrant chicken restaurant, the design was a development from the first location down the road in Shoreditch although this site needed to accommodate large crowds of chicken loving football fans that have been watching a game at the local Emirates Stadium.

The strip out of the space exposed beautifully raw brick work that brings the space to life, working well with the concept of pairing natural materials with a ‘layer of lipstick’ (Marriott). The lipstick comes from the pops of colour within the powder coated steel lampshades and metal detailing.
